A valid passport with at least six months’ validity and a Tanzanian visa are required. Visas can be obtained online or on arrival.

The dry season (June–October) is ideal for safaris and trekking, offering clear skies and excellent wildlife viewing conditions.

The Tanzanian Shilling (TZS) is the official currency, but US dollars are widely accepted. ATMs are limited, so it’s best to carry cash for convenience.

A yellow fever vaccination is mandatory if you’re arriving from a country with a risk of yellow fever.

Safari lodges serve gourmet meals, while local towns offer simple, flavorful dishes like grilled meat, rice, and ugali. Bottled water is recommended.
